lily graduated pre-school !!!
the ever so excited lily getting called up by her teachers to receive her graduation diploma.
the kids put together a few songs for everyone, as you can see lily likes to belt it out to make sure you are sure to hear her.
lily wanted to show her friend caroline what to expect in a few years when she attends pre-school for the first time.

after the graduation we decided to take lily over to the ocean city boardwalk for some mini-golf.
showing pebbles some love between holes.. the funny thing is that lily has no idea who pebbles is.. crazy, right?
after a quick round of mini-golf we headed down the boardwalk for some grub.. on the way we spotted these cool looking hermit crabs.
then we hit up mac and mancos for some delicious pizza and lemonade.
after filling up on pizza we headed down the boardwalk for a little kohr bros ice cream.

and to end our wonderful day together – we rescued this turtle while he was trying to cross the busy street to get back to his home in the marshes. we named him, charlie…..
i couldn’t resist putting together a little animation of lily doing the slip n’ slide yesterday. stay cool everyone…. it been really hot here in jersey the last couple of days, we are heading over the beach this afternoon for some surf and sun.
i stopped by my parents house today, and my dad suggested that i blog about something unrelated to my photography that the general public might find interesting. well, i decided to take his advice (which i don’t do very often) and do a post that is of complete randomness. and you know what – i kinda liked it, so i may try and do a random post once a week just to keep everyone out there on their toes. todays post is a link to the most awesome-est website that i ever came across – Chuck Norris Facts – take a second and get yourself a little dose of chuck.
today i was asked to photograph this super cool birthday cake designed by shandi hogg from distinctive cakes. if any of you are in need of a custom designed cake for your next event, be sure to check out shandi and her wonderful creations, here.
i was working on the laptop in my bedroom tonight at around 8 o’clock when i noticed the sun was setting and casting this beautiful light into my room. lily, my ever so ready model jumped behind the shear blue curtains for a few snaps. five minutes later the light was gone.
some of you have been asking what i got for my birthday, well my wife, lauren did something great – i highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t know exactly what to get their husband or wife. she went to bed and handed me her credit card and told me to go on a virtual shopping spree. and i have to say, it was so awesome. this is what i came out with:

Lensbaby 2.0 - www.lensbabies.com - i can’t wait to start using this new lens, it creates a selective focusing and blurs the edges for a very unique look. keep checking the blog for a peak at what this baby can do.
