Lily had a super-duper fun gymnastics party today at flyers gym. it was the kinda fun that at the end of the day your cheeks hurt from smiling too much. thanks everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

today feels like summer is coming… lauren and i are having our backyard redone, and the process started this morning.. lots of big guys walking around the house with “wife beaters” on and shootin’ the $hit. so we were forced to pull out the beach chairs and hang out on the front lawn and fully embrace the feel of today. below is a photo of lily with our little neighbor emma enjoying the sun rays.

spent the morning at pops & peggy’s house for some easter celebration. always good times and great food. below is a photo of lily goofing around before she filled her easter bucket with eggs. hope everyone had a great easter (:
i couldn’t have imagined a stranger day than today… it began with my wife lauren, daughter lily, and some friends of ours heading over to a small grade school gym for a doggie fashion show. the show was hosted by an elvis impersonator, (i know, i know…. you think that was the weird highlight of the day.) but oh no… here it goes – have you ever stood on the beach in the freezing cold just as it began to snow, in a huge circle of people? why would anyone do that you ask.. well, what we thought was going to be a fun easter egg hunt on the beach, turned out to be “every man, women, and child for themselves” grab as many plastic easter eggs as you can stuff into your child’s basket, RIOT? when the whistle blew, chaos ensued, babies started to cry, people started pushing, and children were separated from their horrified mothers. and 20 seconds later it was all over… and only a few stood tall with a smile on their faces.. lily was one of the lucky ones.
